The vets are always getting after us for feeding our golden retriever raw meat (turkey and chicken and a little bit of steak only on his bday :)). He has allergies so he can't eat commercial dog food because of the wheat/corn meal (also the "meat by-products" are iffy). Anyways, what is the risk of him getting e coli, salmonella, and other bacterial maladies? We have been feeding him this all his life (he's 2 1/2) and he's totally healthy (just a little chubby, but he's on a diet now :)) Any info? Thanks!
