Is it true that turtles smaller than 4 inches don't have salmonella?

Ive done some research for about 6 months and reed that some turtles under 4 inches don't have the disease but im not completely sure so anyone from a GOOD pet store can answers this im between the ages 10-16 so mainly just try to give me ALL the information you can Thank You!!!
