you really didn't need the rubber gloves because none of these birds have acute enough smelling if you heard a noise the mother is still taking care of them because if she didn't they would've died of cold. continue listening and if you stop hearing noise or if you see the mother leave and not return then you will have to take care of them make a makeshift nest using rags or towels until you cn get them to a bird rehabilitator because in the USA it is illegal to house migratory birds
