Do Red Eared Sliders have venom?

My friend says that if a turtle bites you it will inject you with poison... I know that the only way you would get sick from a turtle bite is if they had Salmonella or any other kind of bacteria in their mouth and it going into your blood stream, but tthat's not what he says... I need to prove it to him so that he will believe me.
